Some Like It... Black

Μετά την λάμψη των Golden Globe Awards, οι διάσημες και αγαπημένες κυρίες του Hollywood αποφάσισαν να χαλαρώσουν τις εμφανίσεις τους στο κόκκινο χαλί των Producers Guild Awards. Έτσι, χωρίς άγχος και χωρίς να χάσουν καθόλου από το στυλ τους, κατέληξαν στην κλασική επιλογή του μαύρου χρώματος σε μακριές τουαλέτες διακοσμημένες με δαντέλα και παγιέτες. Τα αξεσουάρ τους παρέμειναν κι αυτά αρκετά "ήσυχα", ίσα-ίσα για να συμπληρώσουν τα looks τους.

Μερικές από τις εμφανίσεις που το Starbags αγάπησε ήταν της Sofia Vergara που έλαμπε μέσα σε μια Monique Lhuillier δημιουργία, της Jessica Chastain με Balenciaga τουαλέτα και μακριά σκουλαρίκια σε έντονο χρώμα και φυσικά της Angelina Jolie με το maxi Micheal Kors φόρεμά της.

Following the glamour of the Golden Globe Awards, the much loved and famous stars of Hollywood decided to tone it down on the red carpet of the Producers Guild Awards. So, without stressing and without losing any of their style, they mostly went for the classic black, in long gowns decorated with lace or sequins. Their accessories were also on the quiet side, just a simple completion to their look.

Some of the appearances which Starbags particularly liked were those of Sofia Vergara resplendent in a Monique Lhuillier creation, Jessica Chastain in a Balenciaga gown, matched with long earrings in a bold colour, and of course Angelina Jolie in her maxi Michael Kors.

Τα Golden Globe Awards πραγματοπoιήθηκαν με επιτυχία και πολλές από τις καλεσμένες απέσπασαν δυνατό χειροκρότημα για τις στυλιστικές τους επιλογές, ενώ άλλες δεν ήταν τόσο τυχερές!

The Golden Globe Awards took place with great success and many of the guests received rave reviews for their stylistic choices, whilst others were not quite so lucky!

Η κολακευτική Chanel επιλογή της Julianne Moore ολοκληρώθηκε με επιτυχία χάρη στα έντονα σμαραγδί σκουλαρίκια που έφταναν μέχρι τον γυμνό της λαιμό. 
Την skinny φιγούρα της έντυσε η Angelina Jolie με Versace τουαλέτα που ταίριαξε με κατακόκκινες πινελιές για ένα super chic αποτέλεσμα.
Η Εmma Stone μαγνήτισε τα βλέμματα με το δυο-τόνων μάξι Lanvin φόρεμα και τα δυναμικά αξεσουάρ που έδωσαν ροκ αέρα στην εμφάνισή της.

Η Julie Bowen εμφανίστηκε με δημιουργία της Λιβανέζας σχεδιάστριας Reem Acra για glamour εμπνευσμένο από το παλιό Hollywood.

Angelina Jolie dressed her skinny figure in Versace and matched it with bold red touches for a super chic result.
Emma Stone was admired for her two-tone Lanvin gown matched with strong accessories which gave a rock air to her appearance.
Julie Bowen appeared in a creation by Lebanese designer, Reem Acra, for a glamorous look inspired from old Hollywood.

Αν και άκρως εντυπωσιακή μέσα στη Marchesa δημιουργία της, η Lea Michele το παράκανε λιγάκι με την ασημόσκονη και το αρκετά εκτεθειμένο σώμα της.

Σε αντίθεση με την προηγούμενη κυρία, η Connie Britton επέλεξε ένα απλό Ιταλικό vintage midi φόρεμα που έκανε την εμφάνισή της να περάσει σχεδόν απαρατήρητη.

H Kelly Osbourne μας έχει συνηθήσει σε ιδιαίτερες εμφανίσεις, αλλά αυτή ήταν μια από τις χειρότερες στιγμές μιας και το ύφασμα της Zac Posen τουαλέτα της θύμιζε πουφ-σκαμπό.

Τέλος, η  Αmanda Peet εμφανίστηκε στο κόκκινο χαλί με κάτι ανάμεσα σε νυφικό ξεθαμμένο από τα 90's και νυχτικό ρομαντικής παιδούλας δια χειρός Marc Jacobs.

Although totally impressive in her Marchesa creation, Lea Michele slightly overdid it with the silver glitter whilst too much flesh was on show.
In total contrast to the previous lady, Connie Britton chose a simple Italian vintage midi dress and her appearance passed by practically unnoticed.
Kelly Osbourne normally makes unique appearances, but this was one of her worst moments as the material her Zac Posen gown was made of was reminiscent of a pouf chair.
Finally, Amanda Peet appeared on the red carpet wearing something caught between a wedding gown left over from the 1990s and a romantic heroine’s night gown, made by Marc Jacobs.

Black and white photos are always more dramatic! Especially when they have been taken by a photographer of such talent as Patrick Demarchelier who can capture a model’s best moment in just a piece of haute couture. For many years now he has taken the best shots for the house of Dior, whether playing with dynamic poses or giving emphasis to dreamy creations. Βοys Are Back In Town

Το ανδρόγυνο στυλ μπήκε στη ζωή των γυναικών στις αρχές των 30s, μια δεκαετία γεμάτη αντιθέσεις, και από τότε καθιερώθηκε. Η Μάρλεν Ντίντριχ ήταν από τις πρώτες διάσημες κυρίες του κινηματογράφου που είχε υιοθετήσει αυτό το στυλ στις ταινίες τις, αλλά και στην προσωπική της ζωή, και πολλές ήταν οι γυναίκες που έσπευσαν να την αντιγράψουν. Το παντελόνι χαρίζει άνεση και πλήρη ελευθερία κινήσεων υποδηλώνοντας την πλήρη ισότητα με τους άντρες, καθώς και το τετραγωνισμένο παλτό αρχίζει να εισχωρεί στις γυναικείες ντουλάπες.

The androgynous style came into the lives of women in the early 1930s, a decade which was full of antithesis, and has ever since become a way of life. Interview With Dimitris Dassios

Ο Δημήτρης Ντάσσιος γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα. Σπούδασε Πολιτικές Επιστήμες, θέατρο και κλασικό τραγούδι.
Έχει δουλέψει σαν ηθοποιός πλάι σε μεγάλα ονόματα του ελληνικού θεάτρου και έχει συνεργαστεί επί σειρά ετών με την Εθνική Λυρική Σκηνή.
Παράλληλα δραστηριοποιήθηκε στο σχεδιασμό κοσμημάτων και αργότερα πέρασε στη δημιουργία ρούχων και αξεσουάρ.
Οι συλλογές του παρουσιάζονται σε Μιλάνο και Παρίσι κατά τη διάρκεια των εβδομάδων μόδας και βρίσκονται στις σημαντικότερες boutiques του κόσμου. Εκθέτει σε galleries και μουσεία παγκοσμίως.

Πρόσφατα απέκτησε την 1η monobrand boutique στο Κολωνάκι, στην οδό Ξάνθου 7.

Όταν ήσουν μικρός τι σε ξεχώριζε από τα άλλα παιδιά; To ντύσιμό μου.

Πότε κατάλαβες ότι θα ασχοληθείς με τη μόδα και θα γίνεις δημιουργός;Αυτό ακόμη δεν το έχω καταλάβει, αλλά φαινόταν από την προσχολική ηλικία.

Αν δεν είχες ασχοληθεί με τη μόδα, τι θα ήθελες να ήσουν;Αυτό που είμαι, ηθοποιός και τραγουδιστής. Θα ήθελα επίσης να ήμουν χορευτής.

Τι είναι αυτό που σε ξεχωρίζει από άλλους του χώρου σου;Ίσως το ότι δεν έχω σπουδάσει το συγκεκριμένο αντικείμενο???

Ποιο είναι το μεγαλύτερό σου πλεονέκτημα; Το διεστραμμένο μάτι μου.

Ποιο είναι το μεγαλύτερό σου μειονέκτημα;Το πολύ παρατηρητικό μάτι μου.

Ποια ήταν η μεγαλύτερη δυσκολία στη ζωή σου; Η αντιμετώπιση μιας διαταραχής άγχους.

Ποια ήταν η μεγαλύτερη πρόκληση που αντιμετώπισες;Να ανταποκριθώ στη διεθνή αγορά.

Ποιος είναι ο στόχος σου για τα επόμενα 5 χρόνια;Αν έχω υγεία εγώ και οι γύρω μου να συνεχίσω τη δουλειά μου με επιμονή και ζήλο. Για να την πάω παντού.

Ποια πρόσωπα  σε έχουν εμνεύσει κατά τη διάρκεια της ζωής σου;Τα πρόσωπα με δύναμη και ουσιαστική δημιουργικότητα.

Περιέγραψε τον εαυτό σου χρησιμοποιώντας τρία επίθετα.Μεσήλικας, Νάρκισσος, Τελειομανής.

Τι θα άλλαζες στο χαρακτήρα σου;Πολλά, το προσπαθώ!! Τώρα παλεύω με τον ναρκισσισμό μου.

Τι θα άλλαζες στην εμφάνισή σου;Πολλά! Τίποτα.

Τι θα άλλαζες στο χώρο που ζεις και εργάζεσαι;Πόλη.

Τι θα μοιραστείς με τις φίλες της starbags σε αποκλειστική, πρώτη μετάδοση;Να φοράνε ό,τι θέλουν και ό,τι τις εκφράζει. Να μην κατευθύνονται και να είναι ελεύθερες.

Dimitris Dassios was born in Athens. He studied political science, theatre and classical song.

He has worked as an actor alongside some of the greatest names in Greek theatre, and has had a long lasting collaboration with the National Opera.

Parallel to this, he took up jewelry design and then moved his creativity onto clothes and accessories.

His collections are shown in Milan and Paris during fashion week and can be found in some of the most important boutiques the world over. He exhibits in museums and galleries globally.

He recently acquired his first monobrand boutique in Kolonaki on 7, Xanthou Street.

When you were young what made you stand out from other children?My dress sense.

When did you come to realize that you would work in fashion and become a creator?I’m not quite sure when that happened but you could tell from an early age.

If you did not work in fashion, what would you have become?What I am, an actor and singer. I would have also liked to have become a dancer.

What makes you stand out from others in your field?Possibly that I have not studied this particular field??

What is your greatest advantage?My perverse eye.

What is your greatest disadvantage?My overly observant eye.

Which is the greatest difficulty in your life?Getting over an anxiety disorder.

Which has been the greatest challenge you’ve faced?To get into and respond to the international market.

What are your aims for the next 5 years?If I’m healthy and those around me are too, then to carry on working persistently and zealously. To get my work everywhere.

Who (whether famous or family member) has inspired you during the course of your life?Strong people and those with substantial creativity.

Describe yourself using three adjectives.Middle-aged, narcissistic, perfectionist.

What would you change in your character?A lot, I’m trying to! At the moment I’m working on my narcissism.

What would you change in your appearance?A lot! Nothing.

What would you change in your home and work environment?City.

What will you share with your friends at Starbags as an exclusive piece of news?To wear whatever they want and whatever represents them best. Not to be guided, but to be free.
